Who drove when, without anybody logging in.
A fob on the key ring, nothing more. The rest happens in the car: traffic tickets, scorecard and trip list know who drove.
The problem
- Two drivers share a car. With a traffic ticket or a complaint it is unclear who drove.
- Everybody forgets to log in on the device, by the second week at the latest.
- You want the evaluation per driver, not per car.
How it works

Hand out fobs
Every driver automatically gets their own identifier and a fob when they are created. Every company has its own namespace, a foreign fob never counts.

The car recognises it
The device in the car sees the fob. Up to four people present are tracked, a weak battery is reported.
- 03
Change without errors
The new driver is only taken over once the previous one is gone and the car drives faster than 20 km/h. Otherwise it stays “last driven by”.
What it does not do
- A fob in a flat directly above the car can count as “at the car”. A distance threshold is proposed, not built.
- If somebody drives without a fob, the last known driver stays on the car.
Questions
What does a fob cost?
It is a small radio fob by Teltonika with a button cell, running for several years. The price is in the quote.
What do I see in the app?
On the car the driver share of the last 30 days by kilometres, individually from five percent. On the driver the cars they drive; above 50 percent a car gets a picture and the main spot.
Does this also work with the driver's phone?
The driver app reports its location as a supplement, but recognition at the car runs via the fob. The fob is always there, the phone is not.
