Permanently installed, own battery
The device sits inside the car, not in the cigarette lighter. It has its own battery. Nothing to unplug, nothing to switch off, nothing a driver could forget at the start of a shift.
No switch, no plug in the cabin.

Straight from the car to the server
The data goes encrypted from the device to our server. No app in between, no driver's phone. Trip data is written only by the receiver on the server, never by a tool or a user interface.
One source, one path, no detour through anyone's phone.

Every packet chained
Every data packet carries a checksum and refers to the previous one, plus a daily anchor. Deleted, swapped or altered packets show up in the daily check.
Whoever removes a packet leaves a hole in the chain, and the check reports it.

Device time, not server time
Every event carries the device's clock, not the time of receipt. Data sent later arrives as its own packet and is recognisable as such.
A trip at 01:12 stays a trip at 01:12, even if it arrives at 01:41.

Dead zones
If the network drops, the device stores and sends later. 29 minutes of tunnel, nothing lost. Gaps appear in the chain with their reason.
Sent later is not backdated: the time comes from the device.

Tricks are detected
A belt buckled for more than eight hours straight is discarded. A signal that never changes, a roof sign that is not connected, a taximeter that stays off for almost every trip of a day, a seat mask of all ones: all anomalies that get reported.
A permanently buckled belt is not a passenger. It is a report.

Evaluated on the server, across the whole shift
The device does not judge, the server does. Afterwards, with all stops of the shift, not from a single signal. When the method improves, past days are recalculated.
One outlier does not break a trip apart.

Honestly: suspicion, not a verdict
The system cannot see whether the fare was paid. A fixed price or a favour for a friend looks the same as fare evasion. The list is a review list. What you do with it is your decision.

Data protection and processing in the EU
- Database and functions run in Google Cloud regions in Europe, the receiving server on a machine in the EU.
- No camera, no microphone in the car. The device reads vehicle states, not images and not conversations.
- The data belongs to the company. The driver sees their own day, the company sees its cars and drivers.
- Retention periods are set: traffic ticket records seven years, their evidence data three years, then automatic deletion.
